Investigation into Proposed Christmas Eve Part-Day Public Holiday

The Queensland Government has released a Decision Regulatory Impact Statement approving the option to declare a part-day public holiday on Christmas Eve (24 December) from 6pm to 12 midnight as from 2019. Read more

As a part of its commitment to fair and transparent government, the Queensland Government consulted with stakeholders about a proposal to declare a part-day public holiday on Christmas Eve (24 December) from 6pm to 12 midnight and released a Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement to consider the benefits and costs of the part-day public holiday, and sought stakeholder comment.  

Written submissions on the proposal and the Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement closed on Monday 2 September 2019.
